It’s Not the Tariffs… It’s the Tariff Whiplash
Increased tariffs pose one challenge for business but increasingly, it's the chaos of constantly shifting tariffs that one business expert says is becoming the bigger problem. Businesses struggle in chaos and with over 50 tariff changes since January, including new proposals on EU and Apple products, companies are facing a new kind of crisis: policy whiplash.
Rita McGrath, Columbia Business School professor and one of the world’s top experts on strategy and uncertainty, is available to break it down. She’ll explain how the speed and unpredictability of shifting tariffs are now doing more damage than the tariffs themselves—shaking supply chains, clouding strategic decisions, and hitting consumers in hidden ways.
